About Us
DiscountVibe exists to stop overpaying. Ads shout “save 30%” and “buy one get one free,” but the real number can be quite different once you do the math. We built a tool that works out the honest total in seconds, so you reach the checkouts with a number, not a guess.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: no more guessing at the till. We translate store signage into a final price and a true saving. Two discounts are almost never 30%. A “spend $100, save $20” offer is only 20% when your total hits the marker exactly. We make those facts visible before your money leaves your pocket.
Private by Design
DiscountVibe runs entirely in your browser. You type prices and discounts into the page and the JavaScript on your device does the calculation. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared. There is no account, no login, and no server listening for your totals — your shopping math stays on your screen.
How Each Mode Works
- Discount. Enter an original price and a percentage off; the tool multiplies by (1 − the discount) to give the final total and the dollars saved.
- Reverse percent. Tell us the original price and the price you actually paid; the tool figures out the percentage off you really got.
- Double discount. Applies a second discount to the already-discounted price, so stacked offers are calculated honestly, never added together.
- BOGO. Compare buy-one-get-one-free, buy-two-get-one-free, and second-item-half-off by unit price across the number of items you want.
- Spend discount. Works out your real savings rate for threshold offers, where the discount stays flat while your total grows.
What We Do Not Do
We do not guarantee a price, because no free tool can. Stores cap savings, exclude certain products, and set limits that change the final number. We give you the math; the store’s small print still rules. Where an estimate could reasonably vary, our guides and the tool itself say so.
